Patents Granted To GW Pharmaceuticals For Therapeutic Use Of Cannabinoids

GW Pharmaceuticals’ research on the therapeutic use of cannabinoids dates back at least two decades.

One of the earliest patent applications was in 2002.

In some cases, patents were not assigned until a decade after application.

For example, a patent on the use of cannabinoids for nausea and vomiting was filed in 2003 and granted in 2011.

A patent for cancer- related pain was filed in 2005 and assigned in 2012.
